“We’re not porcies with pumps for hearts and delusions for souls.”
-Curio
Evangeline Denmark
There’s something about this quote that was really poignant for me when I read this book. Not only did I just really love it, but there’s a poeticness to the thought that it brings out. The thing about this quote is that you do have to have some understanding of the world that the book is based in to fully appreciate it, namely the constitution of the porcies, who are basically doll people if I were to put it in laymans terms.
Even so, it’s still really intriguing and wonderful. I’ll always really love this quote.
Happy reading, everyone!
