I’ve been so crazy busy lately and have barely gotten anything done aside from regularly scheduled blog posts, so for that I’m sorry (and a little embarrassed!) cause I only finished one book this week! Cue horrified expression. I’ve got a lot going on with work, namely a promotion involving a lot more responsibility and ironically some studying at home. But it’s been fun and exciting, so I wouldn’t really change it for anything, even if it means I’ll only be talking about 1-2 books in this weekly wrap up.

wendy We are reading The Wendy by Erin Michelle Sky and Steven Brown. This book is pretty amazing, and I’ll admit I’ve already read it and am so crazy excited to be rereading it, especially since it means I can talk about it more. Here’s the thing, this is basically my new favorite book. If you haven’t got a copy and you’d like to join in with the Readalong, please go ahead and do so as soon as you can. I’m beginning my reread on April 1st and would love to have more people join me!

Remember, the only rule for participation in the readalong is that you read the book. And, as always, you do not have to finish reading it, especially in the event that you aren’t enjoying the book. I will post weekly updates every Tuesday through the month, though the timeline for this readalong will be on Sundays instead of Thursdays this time. Books I’ve read:

A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo by Marlon Bundo and Jill Twiss needs to be read and owned by everyone. I’m still giggling about it, a whole week later. I technically read this on Sunday, so it still fits into this week even though I included it in the wrap up for last week on account of the fact that I was a bit late. Definitely check out my review, cause I’ve included the video from Last Week Tonight. Believe me, this book is a must-have. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

lay So, I got a copy of Layover by Amy Andelson and Emily Meyer recently to read shortly after I found it because it was a premise that I’d kind of wanted to read a good book about for ages. And I’ve been painfully disappointed, much to my own dismay. This book just didn’t live up to what I was expecting. In fact, there was so much about it that I didn’t like. But perhaps the absolute worst was the inclusion of the POV of a nine-year-old that just felt so dumb and fake. I also hated the inclusion of the “not like other girls” trope that is just so idiotic and painful to read. So, I was disappointed. 🌟🌟
