Well, it seems like this past week wasn’t one where I would catch up and I don’t exactly foresee that happening in May, either. It’s an unfortunate thing, but life takes over and it does so far more often than I care for it to. I suppose it is what it is, though, and it’s not likely that I’d be able to really do anything about managing free time when I’m busy with a move.

And now! Books!

Readalong updates:

wendyWe’ve more or less completed our readalong of The Wendy by Erin Michelle Sky and Steven Brown. With one day left in the month, it’s soon going to be time to move on to our May book, Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeymei! There’ll be a new post up for that one on the first (hopefully)!children You can also always find all the information for readalongs (and the subsequent end of the month giveaways) on the Monthly Readalong page. Remember, the only rule for participation in the readalong is that you read the book. And, as always, you do not have to finish reading it, especially in the event that you aren’t enjoying the book.

Books I’ve read:

taorpSo, my boyfriend and I have been discussing getting a puppy lately…much to my excitement and our bank account’s dismay. I can say we’re likely looking at getting one a year down the road from now, unfortunately, as we simply just don’t have the money for it nor do we currently have the time to be raising one (though I would in December when the kiddos get their Christmas vacations and such). Naturally, when you’re considering getting a puppy you’ve got to do your research, naturally, and so I’ve recently read The Art of Raising a Puppy by the Monks of New Skete. miniaussieIt was definitely very informative and helpful, I think, in the long run. I’ll admit, I’m not extensively well versed in this sort of knowledge, but I’m starting, which is important, too. And I’m excited. We’ve been looking at Miniature Australian Shepherds, and aren’t they just the most adorable creatures you’ve ever seen? 🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊

wendyAnd, as you’re all likely well aware, I reread The Wendy and finished it this week (just as I hope many of you have!). I still love the book immensely and will forever hold it close to my heart. Wendy is a wonderful character and certainly one of the best role models to ever have. I love to hate Hook and Peter is as fun as ever. The Wendy is such a fantastic story and I’m thrilled to have it on my shelf. You would be, too! 🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊

Reviews from this week:

(Book Review #28) The Wendy [by Erin Michelle Sky and Steven Brown]

This one isn’t really from this week, but definitely worth looking at considering the readalong!

Last minute thoughts:

It’s looking like my schedule this upcoming week is only going to increase in how busy I am, so I just thought I’d give everyone a heads up in case I miss a post or two at any point during the week! Considering my track record of late, it’s pretty likely.
