I love, love, love, love, love this Readathon. I’ve only participated once so far and I imagine this is something that I will be doing each and every time from this point forward. There’s something about this challenge that is just exceedingly appealing and while I can’t quite pinpoint what that is, I’m thoroughly excited to be a part of it.

I’ve kicked off 24in48 with The Other End of the Leash by Patricia McConnell (I’m prepping to adopt a puppy!), which will be my audio book of the Readathon. I have a tendency to read a bunch of different books at all times and the Readathon is no different so I don’t really have any expectation to finish the books since I imagine I will be jumping from one to another as I continue to read. I have quite a few on my currently reading list.

I’ll post updates as I go along regarding which books I’m reading (there will be a lot, mind you) and whether or not I finish them, so that will be something to look forward to. I’m currently listening to the audiobook as I type, a perk of being a good multi-tasker. I really love audiobooks for this reason.

img_7426For those of you who haven’t heard of 24in48 or haven’t signed up yet, you still have time to join in on the fun, hop on over to 24in48.com and join in! It’s definitely worth joining! The experience is a vast amount of fun, gives you an excuse—not that you needed one—to spend your whole weekend reading, and there are bookish prizes!

I’ve been reading for about 56 minutes now and counting!

Are you participating in 24in48 this weekend? What are you reading? How has your kick off gone so far?

Let me know in the comments! Happy reading, everyone!
