This is kind of an unofficial one that I found via Book Princess Reviews since I won’t be tagging anyone but I really enjoyed the questions. Definitely check out her post and blog if you have the chance!

1) If you could date a fictional character who would it be and why?

Carswell Thorne. Hands down. No questions. He is the love of my life. This is the character that I always imagined in my head as the one I loved the most and I was truly amazed with how perfectly Marissa Meyer captured him. And to be honest, since Cress is basically me personality wise…how could I not pick Carswell?

2) If you were to go on a date with said fictional character where would you go and what would you do?

I imagine it would involve some sort of travel and visiting a truly exciting place. Somewhere naturey, but not too naturey.

3) A favorite “ship”/ couple you’ve read?

Considering my answer to the first question and the fact that this has been my favorite ship since the year the book came out, I have to say Cresswell. I reread this book at minimum three times a year for how much I love this ship.

4) A “ship”/couple you hated?

Warner and Juliette from the Shatter Me series. This is the most convenient excuse ridden, abusive relationship I have ever seen in a book and I find it abhorrently disgusting. Nothing about the relationship is okay and I am horrified that people ship them. No bullshit excuse he has for his mistreatment of her will ever make his behavior okay or forgivable. I don’t care how “damaged” he supposedly is.

5) A book that had the classic Hate to Love trope?

I very nearly chose Kestrel and Arin from The Winner’s Curse for this one, but that ship is anything but classic. And there’s always Em and Flinn from All Our Yesterdays, but I think in the end I have to go with Ambrose and Louna from Sarah Dessen’s Once and For All because you really can’t get much more classic than they are.

6) A book that had insta love?

There are so many of these and I honestly can’t think of a time where I enjoyed a book that I considered to have unrealistic and gross instalove. But I think the ship that broke my heart because of insta love was Romeo and Juliet. I grew up hearing about this ship and how amazing it was. This was the most famous, tragic love story of all time. And when I finally read it, I nearly cried for disappointment. It was just some dumb teenagers mistaking a crush for true love. And damn, was it a crushing realization.

7) A book with a light cutesie relationship?

The Prince and the Dressmaker! This ship is so cute. I can’t even with how cute it is. And I guess…maybe it’s not super light, but tbh I can’t really stomach reading those books anyway. Gotta have some sort of conflict.

8) A book with a relationship that made you cry?

Hello Me Before You. It’s been a while.

9) A book without romance (or with very little)?

Raven’s Gate by Anthony Horowitz. It’s such an amazing book and an amazing series.

10) If you could delete one “ship” from a book who would it be and why?

It would be the ship from Sherwood (release date 2019 so there’s still hope!maybe?). I absolutely hated that this ship existed and I frankly think it destroyed what could have been my number one read of the year. Everything about this book was fantastic and then this trash awful ship had to come ruin it.

11) A new couple you read that you ship?

It’s apparently been a majorly long time since I read a book with a new ship that I love. In fact, barring The Prince and the Dressmaker I would have to go back a number of months in my recently read list, so I guess I’m just going to stick with that one.
