Hello everyone and welcome to this weekend’s first blogger support feature (a day late, apologies, since I had to work yesterday). Today I’m featuring a review from Becca @ QuillnFeather and if you haven’t checked out her blog yet, you really should because her reviews are phenomenal. I haven’t read The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue just yet—though it’s been on my TBR for a long while now—but her review honestly made me about 20 times more excited than I already am.

Anyway, I decided to feature Becca’s Caraval review today, largely because I couldn’t agree with it more. I have actually read this book, despite not having reviewed it—shame on me—when I did. And here’s the thing. I actuallly hated Caraval. And everywhere I turned it looked like everyone was raving about how amazing it was. But me? I didn’t like the plot, I thought the ending was ridiculous, I was not a fan of Talla nor Scarlett. And frankly I think Becca hit one of my big gripes with it right on the head in her review.

She even gave it a higher rating than I did.

“I ate up every single paragraph of description that the story has to offer. Garber made Caraval real enough to make me believe it might bleed from between the covers, to turn my living room into a dark carnival of twisted intrigue.

That illusion was, however, ruined by one small fact…”
