In light of the newly released Tigerlilja, I decided today was the perfect day to throwback to the wonderful first novel in the series, The Wendy. This was actually, to my immense gratefulness, the first ARC I’d ever received at the time. I had been approved for it on my birthday, effectively making the experience just about the best birthday moment I’d ever had.

I adored this book from the moment I saw the cover and was pleased to quickly learn as I read it that the writing definitely lived up to my admittedly high–as a lover of all things Peter Pan (except for the racism in the Disney film because that was messed up) I can tend to be rather critical of retellings about this boy–expectations. I loved the book immensely and, I hope, so will you.
