I have been wanting to do this tag forever. I always put it off, partially because I hadn’t saved it initially, then later because I didn’t want to admit to my low NetGalley ratio, and after that simply because I forgot. But now that it’s December, I think it’s the perfect time to finally go forth and figure out my naughty-nice ratio.

Received an ARC and not reviewed it.

I mean, do I count this one as true if I’m still planning on reviewing them all? I just have a lot and I haven’t gotten to them yet! I’ve never willfully made the decision to not review an ARC that I’ve received, so there’s that at least? I’m gonna go ahead and count this one as nice…lol.

Have less than 60% feedback rating on Netgalley.

NICE! Okay, I’m really proud of this one, though. I worked so hard to get my NetGalley feedback rating up to 80% and it’s finally there. Granted, it was around 84% a few days ago, but I went and requested a few more books. Of course, this includes read nows and requested books, so my requested feedback rating is a little bit lower (around 79%, last time I checked) but even so.

Rated a book on Goodreads and promised a full review was to come on your blog (and never did).

So, I guess this is my first naughty. I have done this. I didn’t mean to. I had every intention of going back and giving a full review. I still do, but it would mean I’d have to reread the book since I don’t remember everything I wanted to say about it. Which would take longer and so it’s a little bit lower on my list of priorities at the moment. Especially with so many new amazing books coming out and the fact that I actually didn’t much like that particular one. But alright, here I’ve done a naughty.

Folded down the page of a book.

Oh my gosh, it was just an accident! Okay, so I’ve never done this on purpose. I’m not sure if that means it only half-counts? The truth is that this folding business makes me cringe like crazy, but there are definitely books that I’ve put down open to hold the page and ended up accidentally folding a page or two without meaning to. It’s always a truly devastating moment for me. I’m going to count this as a half.

Accidentally spilled on a book.

I am guilty of this. I try not to eat while I read anymore because of it. And I also don’t leave my books close to my nighttime water anymore, either, since I got a few books that way. I’m pretty good about it now, but this is definitely a naughty that I have been guilty of.

DNF a book this year.

Hmm…excuse me while I go and check Goodreads. Ah, okay. Yes. There has been one. In my defense, it was heavily romanticizing abusive behavior and an MC that regularly forgave it and convinced herself she was in the wrong for wanting to avoid said abusive behavior. And I just couldn’t stomach it. So…

Bought a book purely because it was pretty with no intention of reading it.

Yeah, no. I’ve never done this. I don’t know how I could. I’ve definitely bought books that are pretty solely because they were, but never with the intent to not read it. Even if the book sounded awful, I’d still take the time to read it. No sense in having a book if you don’t.

Read whilst you were meant to be doing something else (like homework).

Okay, but who hasn’t? That’s all I have to say.

Skim read a book.

I mean, nah. Not unless you count textbooks, which I personally don’t.

Completely missed your Goodreads goal.

I’m confused about what counts as “completely” here. I’m gonna say yes simply because I have missed my Goodreads goal, but it wasn’t by a large margin or anything, so I’m not sure if it fits “completely.”

Borrowed a book and not returned it.

😱 Never!

Broke a book buying ban.

Hahaha, again, who hasn’t?

Started a review, left it for ages then forgot what the book was about.

Ironically, this one is a no. Which is a bit shocking, imo. But I don’t typically start reviews without finishing them. Now, plan to write a review, leave it for ages, and then forget the book…that’s a different story.

Wrote in a book you were reading.

Yes, I have. Of course. I think it’s silly that this is so taboo. Pencils exist, you guys. Sheesh.

Finished a book and not added it to your Goodreads.

Omg. No. That sounds like a terrible waste. Why would I do that? I even add the kids books I read.

And so it looks like the results have me down as 53% naughty, a little tiny bit over half. And here I was hoping that I’d be nice. What a shame!
