I imagine there aren’t many people left who haven’t read The Belles, at least as far as many of us in the book blogging world go. But if you are one who hasn’t read this book yet, I would definitely suggest picking it up. There’s a lot underlying the surface of this book in the most fascinating and impressive of ways, paralleling the book’s format and our society with a subtleness that really blows your mind. From the beauty industry to enslavement and torture, this book really touches on the darkness brought out in the world.
