How many books are too many books in a series?
I mean, this is kind of a tough one since there are definitely some series’ where there are three books and I think that was too many and then there are some that have twelve books in the series and I’m just sitting here screaming at my computer about the injustices of it coming to an end. So really, for me, it just depends on the series. For example. Falling Kingdoms should have stopped at like…book two, but The Lunar Chronicles only has seven and it’s not even close to enough.
How do you feel about cliffhangers?
That depends. Is the next book already published and how soon can I get it? In all seriousness, I actually don’t mind cliffhangers. It’s the not having the next book that I hate. But I don’t think they’re really all that bad. It’s a mark of a good book that I desperately want to keep reading. In truth, I don’t think that there’s any problem with cliffhangers.
Hard copy or paperback?
Oh, definitely hard copy. Paperbacks are nice and all, but they’re so much harder to keep in good condition. Especially with other people around who don’t fully understand how to take care of books. Plus, all around, they’re just nicer.
Favorite book?
Oh, definitely Cress by Marissa Meyer from The Lunar Chronicles.
A least favorite book?
Any book that romanticizes abuse, tbh. But primarily, at the moment, Fracture Me by Tahereh Mafi for that very same reason. I absolutely hate it.
Love triangles, yes or no?
Hahaha, only if I don’t notice there’s a love triangle. Sometimes an author can make it work. A lot of the time it’s just really annoying. I wouldn’t bank on an author being able to make it work, though.
The most recent book you just couldn’t finish?
This was Just Friends by Monica Murphy for the same reason I can’t stand the Shatter Me series. It massively romanticized abuse and victim blamed. IT was despicable and disgusting.
A book you are currently reading?
The Enchanted Sonata by Heather Dixon Wallwork, Briar and Rose and Jack by Katherine Coville.
Last book you recommended to someone?
Hahaha, this was The Enchanted Sonata.
The oldest book you’ve read?
According to Goodreads, this is Aesop’s Fables, so I guess?
The newest book you’ve read?
This is Spark by Sarah Beth Durst, which is due to come out May 14th of next year.
Favorite author?
Marissa Meyer, hands down.
Buying books or borrowing books?
Oh, I definitely prefer buying books. I find that I have to borrow them more often, though, since I don’t always have a lot of money on hand for the ones that I really want. There’s just far too many of them.
A book you dislike that everyone seems to like?
I mean, this is still book three of the Shatter Me series. But Everless was also one of them, though I did really enjoy Evermore, which was a pleasant surprise.
Bookmarks or dog ears?
Oh my god, bookmarks BY FAR over dog ears. I don’t actually use bookmarks since I prefer to just remember page numbers and that’s easier for me, but I would never dog ear a book.
A book you can always reread.
Cinder by Marissa Meyer!
Can you read whilst hearing music?
Most of the time. There are a few small moments where I haven’t been able to, but those happen to be very specific books.
One POV or multiple POVs?
I like both, really. I don’t think there’s one I prefer over another. All books are different and some need one while others need multiple.
Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?
If I had it my way, it would definitely all be in one sitting. But life is life is life and you can’t really expect that to happen except for once every blue moon or two.
Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?
I read books in one sitting. I have to finish otherwise I cannot think about anything else. I obsess over it until it is done.
One book you read because of the cover.
There have been a lot of them, but Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld is definitely one of them.

I fully agree on the series thing – I started reading The Dresden Files late, and rationed myself to try and ensure there was always a book waiting, but there seems to have been a hold up with the last one, and apparently it’s planned to be like a 20+ book series, with a finale trilogy on top of that. Whhyyyyyyy.
