A book about a girl journeying to a world “founded on logic and reason, riddles and lies[?]” I am so in! I’ve never heard of Seanan McGuire or the Wayward Children series, but I could not possibly want to read In an Absent Dream more. There’s quite little to say on this other than the fact that I fell in love with it after reading the blurb and basically I am in desperate need. I can’t imagine not reading this book, to tell you the truth. It would just be a downright travesty. With a mix of goblins, desire, and prices to pay I cannot wait to get my hands on a copy. Basically, I just need this in my life and will be dying for it right up until the very moment that I get it.
Also, who doesn’t appreciate telling the expectations that women become housewives to stick it? The added feminist tone that this book appears to have just makes it even more appealing.
I’m really looking forward to reading this one, so definitely expect to see it pop up around here sometime soon. Hopefully it lives up to my excited expectations. What about you? Will this book be on your TBR? Is it already? Do you think it’s not worth reading? Let me know in the comments!
