Oh my skies, I swear I just about screamed when I found this cover. Have you ever seen a more beautiful book cover? Because I can tell you right now that I haven’t. It’s just so damn pretty! I can’t even really pinpoint something that I love the most about this cover because nearly every piece of it is pure perfection. The title is gorgeous, the little trellis and the young girl with her cat walking through to the beautiful looking mansion there before her. I don’t know if she’s entering a new world–though my guess would be entering a new time period based on the title–but you can definitely tell that there’s a sort of wonder to her posture there. Something amazing and world-shocking has happened to this girl and you just know it.

And then when you pan out, your eyes land upon the girls at the top. The whimsical face of the little girl on an adventure smiles brightly on the left, wearing an adorable bow-tie and honestly just looking like one of the most fun people you’ve ever met. And foiling her is the haughty frown of a woman who clearly sees herself as better than the rest of the world, or at least portrays herself as such.

And then there are the gorgeous designs surrounding them, the golden rose and swirling chains. And I am just so thoroughly in love I could cry. I’ll definitely be buying this book just for the honor of having this amazing cover on my shelf. The only thing I’m not in love with is the text of the author’s name, but even that still fits well where they’ve placed it.
