my life as a benchAlissa @ Diva Reads didn’t have an about me page (that I could find) and so I just linked you all to her review policy. And honestly, this is a pretty good place to find out about your book bloggers anyway because it helps you to see what sort of books are typically going to be found on their blog. For Alissa, it’s YA Fiction. Which ultimately leads into why I just love her blog so much. YA Fiction really is where the best books come from.

I had a monstrously difficult time deciding which review to feature for this one since so many of them were utterly amazing. For a blog focused on the sort of books I fall in love with almost instantly, jumping from review to review made it exceedingly hard to actually choose one. But ultimately I decided to go with My Life as a Bench by Jaq Hazell due to it’s incredibly unique premise. After a young girl’s death, she becomes more or less tied to her memorial bench. And I can’t wait to find out more.

“…the story is split between Ren’s reactions to family, friends, and strangers who come to visit the bench, and her trying to piece together exactly what happened leading up to and on the day of her death….”

If you’re looking for a lot of amazing reviews about a variety of books (many the YA variety) I strongly suggest you drop by Alissa’s blog and give her some support. You wont regret it!
