Okay, so Sam @ Nox-Reads has one of the coolest looking blogs but also one of the most amazing slogans that I have ever seen. Honestly, you should click on over to her blog and show her some love for that brilliant phrasing alone cause I am not going to tell you what it was and the only way you’re gonna know is if you click over and check out her blog for yourself. Which you should do. Right now.
Also, Sam, I am so with you on that bit about needing something not love related in a story that includes a love pairing. I’m so sick of the stories that are only about the couple and love. Also, The Lunar Chronicles is my favorite so I’m so glad that you mentioned it.
Sam has a wonderfully unique way of writing her reviews, leaving the spoiler-free half at the very top and only getting into spoilers after having warned everyone toward the bottom of her review. I absolutely adore this about her reviews, especially as it gives the opportunity to share about things she wishes to rave (or rant) about, but also allows readers who haven’t read the book to pass on the spoiler-y bit. The review I decided to feature today is for Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco largely due to the fact that I just wanted to be able to pull out this quote from her review:
“…Cresswell still has the social skills of an agoraphobic lobster, but in this book, we see that he has layers and walls that he has set up to protect himself…”
I’m telling you, you all need to go and check out Sam’s blog. She’s amazing, writes some of the best reviews I’ve ever read, and definitely deserves lots of love and support.
I will make sure I check out your friend’s blog 😀
