I read a surprisingly high number of books with some rather sensitive topics this past week, something I had no idea of until I actually took the time to put them together for this post. From the loss of a beloved pet to traumatic experiences of sexual assault to dying children to struggles with bullying for transgender kids, almost all the books I read this week were pretty rough reads at times. And then, after all that, I watched Game of Thrones last night; fortunately the episode wasn’t as bad as some have been in the past in terms of death and violence, but still. Anyway, all in all I think it was a pretty good week of reading and reviewing.
Paw Prints [Morgan J. Muir]
Don’t Let the Beasties Escape This Book [Julie Berry]
A short list of other reviews I wrote this past week:
My Bright Friend [Simon Boulerice]
Stage Kiss [M. F. Lorson]
Fullmetal Alchemist; Fullmetal Edition Volume 1 [Hiromu Arakawa]
There’s Something About Sweetie [Sandhya Menon]
