edison the mystery of the missing mouse treasureIf you’re looking for a really cute middle grade / children’s chapter book with fantastic illustrations, an incredibly adorable story, and throwback shout outs to some of the most wonderful scientists in our history, Edison: The Mystery of the Missing Mouse Treasure is the book for you. This was such a fun read for me back when I picked it up and it’s definitely the sort of book that I’d love to pass on to my niece or any potential kids that I have way in the future. I definitely see this as a fantastic bedtime story for all your little ones. I only wish it had been around back when I was a kid because I know I would have absolutely adored it. And then I would have been able to pass it along to my little brother a few years ago. Edison is definitely one of those books to think about picking up, I promise it’s well worth it.

The basic premise of the book is that a young mouse called Pete is looking for information back on his missing ancestor, one who was said to have found a treasure. And so, with a lot of fun science-y inclusions throughout the novel, you find yourself brought along on a journey to find out just what it was that happened to Pete’s ancestor with the help of his Professor as they go on an adventure that involves the building of a submarine to find the truth and the treasure.

I go into a little more depth in my review, so definitely check that out if you’re interested and you have the time. And afterward, if you still want to read the book (which I’d highly suggest), pop on over to the Goodreads page and add it to your TBR!
