I’m sure that a great many of you have heard of The Everlasting Rose by Dhonielle Clayton. The much awaited sequel to The Belles has been on people’s minds ever since they finished the first book. Everyone wanted to know what happened next and how the story would end. And now, finally, after months of waiting we’re all going to find out the resolution of the story that blew us all away last year. I’m sure many of us have read it already as it has already been released last month! Honestly, if you enjoyed reading The Belles, I’d be incredibly surprised if you haven’t picked up The Everlasting Rose and devoured it at this point. And here’s the funny thing about this post; The Everlasting Rose is not on my TBR. You see, I was lucky enough to have received an arc of this book, finishing it just in time to post my review the night before it was released. And it was an incredibly exciting read, even if it was a little underwhelming, especially when compared to its predecessor.
But this book was on my TBR prior to my finishing it and I was, like many, eagerly awaiting the moment that I would learn what would happen to our favorite Belle, Camille as she ran from tyrant Sophia and worked to escape the slavery that all Belles had been subjected to for generations past. It was an interesting story, to say the least.
