Sunday used to be a day for Blogger Support Features, but as I’m winding down to a point where I don’t have as many blogger friends to show off the amazing reviews of that I haven’t already shown off once (I do it by volunteer, so you can join by signing up here if you want to be featured!), I’ve decided to start a new post series for this particular day of the week and that is to highlight some of the books on NetGalley that I’ve been rejected for.

It seems like a bit of an odd thing to do, I’ll admit. Who wants to celebrate their rejections? But the fact is that, despite having not been granted the opportunity to read an advanced copy of a book, I was still excited about it. And, as it stands, I still want to take a moment to briefly feature them and maybe talk about how sad I was that I didn’t get it, lol.

For this first Sunday, the book here on my list is called The Immortalists by Chloe Benjamin. This was the first ever NetGalley request that I had rejected by the publisher and it as probably because I was brand new to the site and barely had any reviews done at all. My blog had just been started (solely for the purpose of getting ARCs, not gonna lie) and didn’t have much of a following at all. And I guarantee my profile description was pathetic. The truth is, I don’t really know if I was desperate to read this book. I don’t think I’d heard of Benjamin or her novel prior to requesting it. I think the book just sounded cool.

The most unfortunate thing is that I never went on to read it later.
