I was so excited about this book when I first saw it and this excitement had so much to do with the brilliant beauty of the cover. How could I not fall in love with it? Now, at first glance it might seem a little busy, which I totally get, but as you slowly unravel the pieces of it I truly feel as though you can’t help but sort of fall in love with everything about it. From the banner that holds the title, to the leaf-like decorations that are scattered all across the edge and center of the page. Unquestionably, for me, this is a cover that pulls you in and begs you to read the story it contains.
I think the only thing I don’t love about this cover is the color of the face in the center. I think it would have been nicer to have the face look like an actual person rather than a gummy bear. Aside from that small piece, however, I absolutely adore everything. I think there is a sort of brilliance to the way the text is spread out across the scroll, how it fits within the designs for the author’s name and small blurb regarding what the story is about. I also love the colors chosen.
Out of everything, though, the most exciting piece of it all is the way the cover incorporates bits of the Cinderella tale, from the hourglass (which is my favorite), to the castle, and finally to the all-known glass slipper that has become such a staple of the story itself. You cannot have Cinderella, after all, without that slipper. Also, I love the way it shines! It’s subtle, for sure, but it really adds something to the cover overall.
What are your thoughts on this cover? Do you think it’s too busy? Which part is your favorite? What do you think of the scroll? The castle? The hourglass? Do you agree that the face looks like a gummy candy? Let me know in the comments! And happy reading, everyone!

It’s so aesthetic! I love the climbers and I thought the woman’s head was an apple, nonetheless I don’t like it.

You know, you’re probably right. Maybe it’s meant to represent an apple? Lol, idk for sure though.

It looks like an apple but it’s a women, maybe a red women means an angry or passionate women

I love that cover! Not too busy as it all works and I wouldn’t take anything from it (nor add to it). It’s perfect.
