I truly do not feel I have the ability to do justice describing Black Girl Unlimited, so I would highly suggest that you check it out for yourself. It seems an important book with a plethora of topics that really deserve more attention. And it’s a magical realism novel about a young wizard and her coming of age story. As for Lies we Tell Mothers, this just seems like a worthwhile read. I know I’m not an official mother right now, but with how exhausting Mickey can be at times, I do often feel as though I have a toddler running through my house.
A realistic look into motherhood that I imagine I will relate to somewhat.
Teenage wizardy, racism, poverty, and more.
Do either of these NetGalley books tempt you to request? Let me know in the comments!

I am absolutely tempted to request both of this. I have no self control and they sound amazing.

It takes a lot of thoughtfulness to admit that one can’t do something justice. Makes me want to read this more!
