Hahaha. Read… Reviewed… Hated.

finaleIt always breaks my heart to see someone I share a name with write an awful book (see Stephenie Meyer). And with every single novel in this painful to read series, the awful has just gotten worse and worse and worse. I hate these girls so damn much. Why, why does anyone like Tella or Scarlett? They’re horrible, selfish, awful people. And every time Garber tried to manipulate me into liking them by having them go through troubling experiences I just hated them more. The plot? Hated. The characters? Hated. It was all so ridiculous  and poorly written. It honestly kills me a little that these books are so popular.

A love worth fighting for. A dream worth dying for. An ending worth waiting for.
It’s been two months since the Fates were freed from a deck of cards, two months since Legend claimed the throne for his own, and two months since Tella discovered the boy she fell in love with doesn’t really exist.
With lives, empires, and hearts hanging in the balance, Tella must decide if she’s going to trust Legend or a former enemy. After uncovering a secret that upends her life, Scarlett will need to do the impossible. And Legend has a choice to make that will forever change and define him.
Caraval is over, but perhaps the greatest game of all has begun. There are no spectators this time—only those who will win, and those who will lose everything.
Welcome, welcome to Finale. All games must come to an end…

I always feel weird asking if the book is on your TBR when it’s one I hated or have huge problems with. But, thoughts?

  1. Lol. I kept trying with this series, and actually quite liked Legendary, but I never understood the hype. The world building was inventive, but the characters were a massive drawback for me, especially with all the romantic back and forth. It just felt really contrived and I didn’t like any of them, so I didn’t see the point of all the ridiculous will they won’t they B.S.

    1. i have the exact same thoughts!! i actually liked LEGENDARY but i read FINALE and was completely let down. i never liked any of the characters and the plot focused way too much on the romance, especially when it was unnecessary. if you haven’t read the third book, i recommend you don’t — leave the series on a good note with LEGENDARY lol!
