birthdayI recently read Birthday! Meredith Russo’s creative look into the lives of two characters growing up together by checking in on them once every year on their birthday was such a fun read. In so many ways, I see this book as one immensely worth reading. And it’s own voices! As always, when a book I’ve already read and written a review for pops up, you can definitely check out the review I wrote if you’d like.

Two kids, Morgan and Eric, are bonded for life after being born on the same day at the same time. We meet them once a year on their shared birthday as they grow and change: as Eric figures out who he is and how he fits into the world, and as Morgan makes the difficult choice to live as her true self. Over the years, they will drift apart, come together, fight, make up, and break up—and ultimately, realize how inextricably they are a part of each other.

Have you read Birthday yet? Is it on your TBR? What are your feelings about this book? What do you think of the fact that the novel only follows these two characters on their birthday? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below! And, as always, happy reading!
