Honestly, my biggest issue with Catwoman: Soulstealer by Sarah J. Maas was the fact that it completely butched the characters of the Gotham universe. Selena Kyle herself was not bad as a character, but she was bad as Selena Kyle. Poison Ivy wasn’t bad as a character, she just wasn’t good as Poison Ivy. Harley Quinn and the Joker were both rather pathetic, though. Honestly, if Maas had written this as an original novel with no connection whatsoever to the Batman world…I wouldn’t have hated it as much as I did.

That said, though, I really don’t like the way Maas does her romances.

Meanwhile, Luke Fox wants to prove he has what it takes to help people in his role as Batwing. He targets a new thief on the prowl who seems cleverer than most. She has teamed up with Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn, and together they are wreaking havoc. This Catwoman may be Batwing's undoing.
