Spoiler Alert [Olivia Dade] Cover Love Friday!

Hello everyone! It’s been a long while since I’ve done a cover love feature–yay haitus!–but I saw this on Twitter last week and have just been dying to share this one with you. Take a look at the gorgeous cover of the week for Spoiler Alert by Olivia Dade! Now, I’ve got two requests for you: if this cover’s got you interested go ahead and like this post and then pop over to the Goodreads page and add it to your TBR! From what I’ve read so far, this book is so amazing I could cry.

There’s a lot to love about this cover. In so many ways it truly does have the best of the best. I, shockingly, love the title text and placement. I even like that bit down in the corner that labels it as a novel (though I’m not sure it’s necessary?). The way the background sketch is lain out is gorgeous, hello San Francisco, everyone! Supposing I’m correct and that is meant to be San Francisco. You’d think, being born and raised in Northern California would allow for me to recognize representations of it more readily? But ah, it’s not like I live there now, so I guess I get a pass.

And this is all without a single mention of the main characters there on the front! Those two just make my heart race. Look at how happy they are! Not to mention their outfits! And the colors! This cover, without a doubt, leaves me insanely excited about the book. Beautiful and a clear representation of what is bound to be an utterly epic romance, I don’t think it’s possible to see this cover and not want to read the novel. But, just in case you’re still not sure and need a little push, I’ve included the synopsis below.

Marcus is able to get out his own frustrations with his character through his stories, especially the ones that feature the internet’s favorite couple to ship, Aeneas and Lavinia. But if anyone ever found out about his online persona, he’d be fired. Immediately.

April Whittier has secrets of her own. A hardcore Lavinia fan, she’s hidden her fanfiction and cosplay hobby from her “real life” for years—but not anymore. When she decides to post her latest Lavinia creation on Twitter, her photo goes viral. Trolls and supporters alike are commenting on her plus-size take, but when Marcus, one half of her OTP, sees her pic and asks her out on a date to spite her critics, she realizes life is really stranger than fanfiction.

Even though their first date is a disaster, Marcus quickly realizes that he wants much more from April than a one-time publicity stunt. And when he discovers she’s actually Unapologetic Lavinia Stan, his closest fandom friend, he has one more huge secret to hide from her.
