It’s my favorite time of the week, Cover Love Friday! Among many of the books I’ve chosen for these, there does often seem to be a theme. For this one it fits the water theme. It’s kind of a travesty that I haven’t read this one yet. I know I had planned to, but as usual I got distracted by all the other books that have been rather quickly accumulating on my TBR. I think this will forever be a theme with me as we constantly have far too many books coming out and resultingly far too many books that I want to read. Given to the Sea by Mindy McGinnis has been one of those books for at least the course of this year and a lot of it had to do with the utterly brilliant cover it has here.
I feel like having a golden title for your book cover has become a rather common and brilliant idea. At least as far as my aesthetics go, they definitely appeal to me. Add in the captivating green waves of the ocean alongside the castle tower where a girl I’m assuming is the main character stands and you’ve got a recipe for a cover that I personally can’t stop ogling. Honestly, there’s really nothing about this cover that I don’t like, I think it’s that amazing.
Is this a cover you like? One that you’re not really a fan of? Do you like the golden titles or find that they’re a little too flashy? Feel free to let me know in the comments! And, as always, happy reading!
