It’s been a while, but I’m finally back with part three of YA releases from February! I’m about halfway through the list of the 2018 YA releases, which is really great and I hope to have more of these posted soon. For now, enjoy another five books that have been added to my TBR this year!

bbhI’m genuinely unsure if I want to read Beautiful Broken Hearts by Kami Garcia. The plot doesn’t sound all that interesting to me and I’m not much of a fan of the MMA fighting pieces. I’ve never liked that sort of thing in general in everyday life, so I don’t particularly see myself enjoying it in fiction. Especially Young Adult fiction and truthfully I’m unsure how this book qualifies as such since it seems to be about college students? Regardless, the cover is nice and I’ve seen the book around so it’s found its way to my TBR. And since I’m not really the sort who enjoys removing books from that list, here I am.

hatOkay, so Honor Among Thieves by Rachel Caine and Ann Aguire isn’t the sort of book I would read typically. I’m not very interested in the main character and nothing really grabs me about the plot whatsoever…but the book is set in space and so on that alone I’m dead set on reading it. I love books set on spaceships. I’ve always found them thoroughly intriguing and unfortunately, this has caused me to pick up quite a few books that I did not enjoy at all on account of simply hoping for the best because there was a spaceship! Hopefully, this one turns out better than most of the others.

swI really don’t know all that much about Sightwitch by Susan Dennard. I know I featured it a while back on account of some unfortunate circumstances that the author was forced to face, but I’m genuinely not well versed in this story, characters, or the world at all. It found its way onto my TBR because of the issues the author was facing and the fact that I made an attempt to help her out by pointing everyone to the changed release date. Naturally, I plan to read the other books in the series first, but I’m excited to give this one a shot.

iludeI am such a massive sucker for in-flight meetings and I have no real idea as to why. I just love this ridiculously cliched plot about meeting someone really cool or amazing on a plane (likely because it’s never happened to me and because I’m too shy to talk to whomever I’m sitting next to) and, for this reason, I cannot wait to read Interlude by Chantele Sedgwick. This is one of those books that is likely to bump itself to the top of my to-read list solely due to my somewhat ridiculous love for the partial premise. And that’s without even mentioning that this book has an added plot, that of the main character’s sister in desperate need of a kidney to save her life, and I’m even more intrigued. Can’t wait to read this one!

dfmDon’t Forget Me by Victoria Stevens sounds like a Sarah Dessen novel. I’m tentatively adding this one to my TBR because it sounds vaguely interesting, but I know it’s probably not going to be my style. And I’m perfectly alright with that, to tell the truth. Chances are that I won’t be getting to this one for a long time anyway. But I couldn’t help myself and added it because if there’s even the slightest possibility that I might like a book, it’s going to be added to my list.

Feel free to drop your thoughts on the books in the comments! Do you have any on your TBR? Will you be adding some? Let me know!

Happy reading, everyone!

  1. I had the same concern about Beautiful Broken Hearts, but the book was really good. The MMA doesn’t take over the story, and the parts that it was in worked for me. I highly recommend it!
