There have been a lot of different bookish wish projects going on around Twitter since it began sometime last year. And while this is amazing, especially in the context of people who have set up large events in which we can gift books to fellow readers, I never really saw anything to kind of secretly send a book whilst addressing the possibility of sending multiple books to one person and none to others. And so I thought it would be nice to begin a sort of database that’s possible for others to update as they gift books. Obviously this is just a work in progress and if any of you have ideas for how we might be able to make it better (questions you feel should be on the survey, etc) please let me know and I’ll update it.
For now, I have a google survey for anyone who wants to participate to fill out and then a link to the google sheets doc for all of the data. You are only able to edit your own responses and the checkboxes to indicate whether you gifted the person a book or not. There’ll be a bit of an honor system with this as I don’t want anyone unchecking their own boxes after they’ve gotten books since that wouldn’t be fair to those who haven’t gotten a book.
The database is here. If there are any errors or you can’t check the checkboxes, let me know and I’ll try to fix it!
Fill out the survey below to add your name / Amazon wishlist to the database.
EDIT: Also, you guys, please make sure your Amazon wishlist is updated so that people are able to send to your address! This is super important, especially if you don’t input a contact and I’ve already noticed at least one wishlist that doesn’t have it checked. You can do this by clicking the three dots next to the word More on the top right of your wishlist, clicking manage list, adding an address in the dropdown, and checking the third party shipping agreement box (I’ll try to add some pictures later).
