the shadow of the windI don’t typically have posts like this, but every once in a while something happens to where I’m willing to make an exception. I’m not quite sure what prompted this sale since the novel is, though perhaps it has something to do with the fact that the fourth book in the series is coming out next month, but one of my all time favorite novels is on sale today (e-book format, unfortunately)! And I would highly suggest that everyone take advantage of it while they can. If you’ve not heard of Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón, you’re sorely missing out. Not only is the language of this novel just painfully beautiful, but the story follows a similar pattern. I don’t often fall in love with novels that have a bit of a gothic theme, but this one really got me. And it’s all centered around this Cemetery of Forgotten Books. How could you not be tempted by knowing that?

Anyway, I’m typically a Barnes and Noble kind of person, largely due to the fact that they have sales and their membership is actually incredibly cheap in order to get free shipping. Also, they aren’t an awful company morally and unfortunately I cannot say the same about Amazon in a lot of ways. But, whatever your preference, I’ve included three different buying options below for you all. I hope you enjoy the book if you decide to pick it up! It’s amazing.
