I’ve been an utter fail at my schedule since I set it up, genuinely intending to post every day the predetermined posts that I’ve come up with. I’ve done okay posting every day, but it definitely hasn’t been what I initially said it would be. Still, this is one of my all time favorite post series’, even if it is periodically growing my unending TBR to the point that it just might crush me for real under its weight. Still going through the books that came out in February this year, I’m hoping to catch up at some point. It can be kind of hard when you’re in love with every second book you see, though.
And so, let’s have a look at the newest books on my TBR.
Space, thievery, pirates, and more. Heart of Iron has everything I could ever want. The plot, involving the theft of some very important coordinates to a lost ship—I’m not sure how that works, of course, for if it’s lost how are there coordinates?—and a fight for its contents between a great number of people. I have high hopes for this novel and am more than thrilled to be adding it to my TBR. There’s just so much potential in this book for it to be absolutely amazing. Hopefully I wont end up disappointed!
Everlife is on this list solely because the previous books in its series are also on my TBR. Naturally, this is just one of those book series that I haven’t gotten around to reading—there are a lot, so it makes sense—and I periodically just add the sequels as they come out alongside it since I do intend to get to them eventually. I haven’t read the synopsis or anything, since that could potentially involve spoilers that I don’t want. Fingers crossed I enjoy it when I get to it.
Short, historical and sometimes fantastical fiction about LGBTQ individuals mixed into a beautiful anthology of amazing writers is what All Out: The No-Longer Secret Stories of Quer Teens Throughout the Ages represents. There are a lot of reasons why this book is appealing, inclusiveness being a large one. It always warms my heart to see more and more books like this out and available in the world and frankly I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy so I can give it a read!
People Like Us is not the sort of book I really go out of my way to read. I’ve never been a fan of murder or death mysteries in books and resultingly don’t read them super often. But I’ve heard a lot about People Like Us and found myself intrigued. So many of my fellow book bloggers have been talking about this one and so at some point I just had to add it. We’ll see if I like it as much as everyone else seemed to.
Okay, I wont lie, This Heart of Mine does not sound like a good book. I’ve read countless novels with this exact plot and they were all pretty terrible, but hell if I’m not exceedingly curious about what’s going to happen in this one. Call it some sort of masochism, I suppose, or perhaps it’s just a strong desire to see at least one of these plots turn out well in a novel? I dunno, but there it is…right on my TBR.
Thus ends this week’s YA Releases post! Feel free to drop your thoughts on any of the books mentioned above in the comments! Do you have any on your TBR? Will you be adding some? Have you read any? What did you think? Let me know!
Happy reading, everyone!
