I feel like I’ve heard this name everywhere. It just always seems to be a subject of discussion on blog posts and on Twitter. And yet, I have no idea what this book is about. Bloodwitch by Susan Dennard is the third book in a series called The Witchlands and appears to be immensely popular. My only interaction with this series came about a year ago when the Truthwitch publication date was changed and, as this can be detrimental to books in the publishing world, a round of advertising was requested of book bloggers. If you’ve been around for a while, you’ll know that I jumped in to help out. But, unfortunately, I’ve never read the books. And a large part of me wishes that I had.
I’ll admit that the synopsis for this novel doesn’t sound mindblowing or anything. It’s pretty run of the mill, something about confronting his father and his past that just doesn’t have quite the ring to it that will make you want to pick up and devour the book. However, I know that there’s been a lot of talk about this series so I wont let the blurb influence my decision much here. I will read at least the first book in this series eventually to determine if the rest of the series is worth my time. It’s just a matter of getting to it.
What do you think of this book? The series? Have you read them? Is it on your TBR? Are you uninterested? Let me know in the comments!!
