I really love hi-lo books for what they do for teenagers who are non-readers. As for the second book, well I loved the SVU series and so I nearly didn’t request this one just because I never actually read or cared for the high school versions. I loved Tom way more than I ever loved Todd, so…

not hungry
A hi-lo book in which the main character has an eating disorder.

sweet valley high
A graphic novel version, updated to fit this time period.

Do either of these NetGalley books tempt you to request? Let me know in the comments!

    1. It’s such a great thing for books. And I see kids who struggle with this all the time (I work in special education) so I’m really excited about all the Hi-Lo books I find.

    2. Yeah, I don’t think it’s super widely known. I appreciate it so much, though. Especially as someone who regularly works with children and teenagers whose reading ability doesn’t quite match their age.
