Match Me if You Can by Tiana Smith is one hundred percent a guilty pleasure book. I know I’m gonna think it’s cheesy and I know I’m going to find much of it silly. But sometimes you can’t help wanting to read the overly corny books that come across your lap. And, for this one, I’m probably going to roll my eyes a few times and I’m definitely going to know the ending far before it happens–I feel, after reading so many that I’ve just got a sense of these things–but I’m also going to enjoy quickly reading through the goofy typical things that you notice in books like these. There are some tropes, I guess, that I just can’t help holding onto and this is one of them.
Hopefully the book turns out to be written well, as unfortunately books of this nature can be ruined by terrible writing, awful pacing, and the like. I’m personally rooting for this book to be a good one, especially since that cover is just friggin adorable. Hello, I would like it on my shelf. But only if the book is good enough. So, we’ll see. This one is definitely on my TBR and I can’t wait to find out whether it’s one worth loving guiltily or not.
And now, to you. Is this one on your TBR? Will it be? Do you think it’s worth reading? And, if you’ve read it, what did you think? Let me know in the comments!
