It’s probably incredibly stupid, but literally, that short bit at the beginning had me completely sold on The Sword and the Dagger by Robert Cochran almost instantly. And then I went on to read more of the synopsis and fell in love. You see, once I read the rest of it, well…who in their right bloody minds would ever pass up a chance to read what can only be the most brilliant novel in history?!
Okay, so I’m being a tad dramatic.
But still! This book sounds beyond brilliant! Every single word further that I read in this synopsis makes me want to read this novel more and more. Just give it to me already! I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m so damn excited to get a copy of this book.
When empires clash,
a Princess, a Knight, and an Assassin
embark on the quest of a lifetime.
During the time of the Crusades, an unlikely trio—a Christian princess, her affianced prince, and a Muslim assassin—embarks on a quest to the court of the most fearsome warrior the world has ever known, Genghis Khan.
A rousing tale of adventure and romance about three young people who must grapple with fundamental issues of loyalty, friendship, faith, honor, and courage against the backdrop of conflicts that still resonate today.
How do you feel about The Sword and the Dagger? Do you think it’ll be as good as it sounds? Or are you crazy (not really, but still) and completely disagree with me by thinking the synopsis doesn’t really make it sound all that great? Is it on your TBR? No? Why or why not? Have you read it? If so, what did you think? I must know, so please leave all your thoughts in the comments below!
