wicked saintsOkay, this is the part where you all get to yell at me. I’ve seen Wicked Saints by Emily A. Duncan around for literally months now and barely given it a thought. Everyone was so excited and I was just all shruggy meh about it. And after reading that synopsis I am furious with myself. Oh my skies, this book sounds so friggin’ good! I cannot right now. And do you all want to know what’s even worse about this? I own a signed copy of the book! Now, mind you, I didn’t go out and buy it because I’d heard all the hype and decided I needed to read it. I got it in my book box subscription and promptly set it on the shelf cause I already had a crazy amount of books to read.

I regret, I regret, I regret.

Seriously, somebody yell at me because I so very much deserve it right now.

A girl who can speak to gods must save her people without destroying herself.
A prince in danger must decide who to trust.
A boy with a monstrous secret waits in the wings.
Together, they must assassinate the king and stop the war.
In a centuries-long war where beauty and brutality meet, their three paths entwine in a shadowy world of spilled blood and mysterious saints, where a forbidden romance threatens to tip the scales between dark and light. Wicked Saints is the thrilling start to Emily A. Duncan’s devastatingly Gothic Something Dark and Holy trilogy.

What are your thoughts on Wicked Saints? Are you one of the ones who hyped it up? Did you ignore it because of the hype? Was it ever on your radar as something worth adding to your TBR? Were you indifferent or against reading it? If you did read it, is the book as good as it sounds? Let me know everything in the comments below and happy reading to you all!

  1. I hope you love it as much as I did! I’ve seen a handful of negative reviews and, while I understand some of their points, I personally think it was a fantastic start to a dark and immersive duology. Can’t wait to read your thoughts on it!
